Northern Colorado Springs Real Estate & Homes for Sale
Flying Horse Subdivision
Flying Horse is a planned, luxury community in the northeastern section of Colorado Springs. This Colorado Springs real estate development is divided up into five “villages,” each with its own personality and amenities. Serving all five villages is The Club at Flying Horse, a private, 18-hole Tom Weiskopf Signature Golf Course with a European style clubhouse and a world-class athletic club and spa.
Members of the Club say that either the challenge of the course or the views are sure to “knock you out.” One need not look for another golf course on which to test his/her golfing abilities.
The Flying Horse Athletic Club offers a wide variety of services and amenities for the entire family, from spa treatments and massages, to aerobics, yoga and Pilates, personal trainers, a 25-yard, heated lap pool, activity and splash pools, a summer youth program, indoor basketball, volleyball
and red clay tennis courts, and an outdoor tennis stadium. So no matter which of the five Flying Horse villages you choose to live in, you have access to all that the entire Colorado Springs real estate development has to offer.
The homes in the five villages range in price – based on recent sales – from $200,000 to $650,000. Most are on medium to 2.5 acre lots with the predominate floor plans being 2-stories and ranches. However, the builders have taken pains to make the Flying Horse properties like none other in the area! (Sample Flying Horse listings.)
There are gated real estate communities and more open, family-oriented villages. There is a village dedicated to patio homes that offer main-level living, and there is a village with an outdoor hockey rink for kids and adults alike.
The entire Flying Horse community is served by a number of the Colorado Springs finest builders. They’ve created a neighborhood with European influences and a widely varying program of activities so that everything families would like to do together is available right in their very own neighborhood.
Academy District 20 schools serving Flying Horse include Discovery Canyon (K-10 for 2008-2009), de Vinci Elementary, Challenger Middle School, and Pine Creek High School. Many families choose to enroll their children in one of the more than 50 private, Catholic, Christian, or non-denominational schools in the greater Colorado Springs area.
